F.A.Q.

Is there an actual dead body at the event?

No. The event is a multimedia discussion, combining photography, animation, video, sound and demonstrations depending on the event.

Can my child attend?

Due to the subject matter's presentation, the event is for ages 18 and over.

How graphic is the event?

The events are graphic and for age 18 and over. However, the material is presented sensitively and with discretion. There are no views of the face in any of the presentations. Most guests who come feeling anxious about the content leave feeling curious to see more. Use of video is limited in The Autopsy Talks but more extensive in other events.

Do I need to see The Autopsy Talks before seeing other events?

It is highly recommended that you see The Autopsy Talks prior to seeing any other event -- even for guests with medical backgrounds. The Autopsy Talks explores and develops the emotional context of autopsies for families which serves as an important framework for discussions in all other events.

Is there is a student discount or university group rate?

Please click on the date you're interested in attending to learn about individual student discounts; or contact the Autopsy Center directly to discuss group rates.
