Theater Wit is committed to providing space to arts and community organizations at low rates; we believe in our building as a hub of the community and welcome interested applicants to find out more. Primetime Rental Rates

Available for registered 501c3 groups only
  • Includes 4 regular performance weekend
    (Thursday - Sunday)
  • Includes Opening Night performance if on different day
  • In house box office services (on site, phone, web)
  • Building Access 1 1/2 hours before performance until 45 minutes after
  • 8am - midnight access during Tech Week until opening
  • House management included
  • Base Rental: $1750/week

Additional costs
  • Additional performances: $250/show (not including opening night)
  • $450 tech (per calendar week), $150/additional tech day
  • $250 end of run house cleanup fee
  • 25% discounted pickup Laundry/dry cleaning service available
  • $2.25 service fee per ticket for box office from advertised ticket price

Rehearsal / Meeting / Class Space

Our spaces are perfect for theatrical rehearsals, classes, staff or board meetings, etc. Meeting tables, chairs and work lighting on the stage are provided. Times vary, please check schedule for availability.

Rates
  • Not for profit rates: $25/hour
  • Commercial renters: $35/hour

Corporate Presentations / Press Events

We can accommodate press and large gatherings (up to 99 people in the audience) in any one of our spaces. Host your next company-wide meeting or press event here. Rate includes projector rental, sound system, lectern, microphone, projection screen and stage and house lighting provided by our staff and an in-house technician to run your event smoothly. Catering tables available on request. $125/hour with one hour of planning and consultation complimentary.

Late-night / off-night rentals

Available for groups doing off-night (Mon-Wed) or late night (Fri/Sat after 10pm, Sundays varying) or morning performances.
  • Contracted on a per-performance basis, 4 performance minimum
  • In house box office services (on site, phone, web)
  • Building Access 30 minutes before performance until 30 minutes after
  • Performances take place on existing set and light plot
  • Two different producer plans
    • Rental Plan A: Fixed rental: $250/performance
    • Rental Plan B: Shared costs: $110/performance + 50% door

Additional costs
  • $30 per tech hour
  • $75 end of run house cleanup fee
  • 25% discounted pickup Laundry/dry cleaning service available
  • $2.00 service fee per ticket for box office
  • Dumpster rental for strike

We also rent the lobby and entire building for special events / benefits. Let us provide a customized bid for your event. We provide catering, full bar, A/V needs, staff - whatever your needs, we can offer a hip and unique location for you. Contact us for a custom quote.

Weddings

Have a wedding at Theater Wit! We've hosted two cool weddings, and are open to more.

  • On stage wedding, exclusive access. $4000. Includes light hang, operator, one rehearsal, lobby and theater for wedding. Bride may decorate / design stage set. Theater Wit does cleanup.
  • Off-night wedding. $1700. Includes stage access and reception in lobby. Must be performed on stage set for existing show. Only the lobby may be decorated. Theater Wit provides light board operator, one rehearsal and cleanup.
  • Theater Wit can host your bridal party, reception, post or pre ceremony cocktails. We have a liquor license and can provide bar service. A separate caterer must be used for food. Lobby only. $750 + cost of liquor.

Because we are a working theater, your ceremony/party/reception must be scheduled either Mon-Wed or Saturday before 5 or Sunday after 6pm
